New Calendar

I just wanted to let everyone know that I’ll be using a new calendar on my website, it’s a Google Calendar so it can be easily subscribed to if you are a current GC user.  Please let me know your thoughts on how easy it is to use, hopefully it will be an improvement and make getting assignments easier for everyone. ~Mr. Aldridge

Parent/Teacher Conferences this week…

Just a quick reminder that we are having Parent/Teacher Conferences this week, hope to see many parents (and students) there!  I am almost completely caught up from being out sick last week, but I may not be completely up to date until the day conferences begin, thanks for your understanding.  See you on Tuesday and Thursday!

Grades…

Just a quick update, our online grade system, Infinite Campus, was down on Friday when I went in to post grades.  I will try to post grades again over the weekend, so stay tuned!  Thanks and have a great weekend everyone!

Welcome Parents!

Thanks for coming to back to school night, glad you could join us!  My name is Brian Aldridge and I will be your child’s World Geography Teacher for the Panther Team.  I have many exciting things planned for the coming year and I am really looking forward to getting to know your son or daughter, as well as getting to know you too!

We will be covering quite a bit of information in the coming year, and we will also be exploring new technologies that my students may or may not be familiar with already.  We’ll be learning about the regions of Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australia, as well as two short units on Basic Geography Skills and World Religions.

Some of the new technologies I look forward to using in the class are Global Positioning System (GPS) devices, Google Earth, iPhoto, iMovie, podcasting on Garage Band, blogging, Google Docs, and many more!  I’m looking forward to a great year learning about and exploring our world!

One week to go!

Hey future panther students, we are down to our last week of summer vacation, hard to believe isn’t it?  I’m looking forward to meeting all of you shortly, but while you still have time, go out and enjoy your last week off!  See you next Monday!
